Are we really doing a serious review and test on what is essentially a hobby kit marketed for science fair projects?  Well, why not?  We said that some of the Group’s goals were inexpensive, easily duplicated equipment and fun projects.  These kits certainly fit within those goals, and besides, you have to start somewhere!  So let’s begin our journey into photonic communications at the beginning and work upwards from there, OK?  Who knows, this might turn out to be a useful device!
